Writing tablature can be simple. Tablature is a way of writing sheet music for those that can not read music. Tab is a word that most professionals use for tablature. Tabs are meant to be read from left to right. In Guitar tablature, there are six horizontal lines that represent the six strings on a guitar. The top line corresponds to the thinnest string and the lowest line represents the thickest string. The numbers that are placed on the lines tell you the fret to play for each note.
