This book is a chorus of voices raised to honor women who have triumphed against seemingly insurmountable odds with grace, clarity and spirit. Using powerful poetry and prose, the authors explore universal motifs such as grief, loss, body image, and parenting. Furthermore, they shed light on themes that often go unexamined outside of the privacy of our minds, hearts and homes: domestic violence, mental illness, poverty, abuse, and neglect. In their words, we find our wounds and worries, but most importantly, we find company on the road towards health and wholeness.
