Wildlife from the Boardwalk William Holcomb

This photograph collection records the wildlife I found while looking for, and looking at, the boardwalks of Florida. It is not a scientific journal, nor a guide book. Rather, it is a mosaic of images from my wanderings. This is a book that grew out of a photo essay on Boardwalks. Having studied building construction in college and in the fire service, the nuts and bolts, or rather, the screws and planks of elevated hiking trails intrigued me. Boardwalks can be art unto themselves. Coupled with their remote settings, sometimes hidden deep in Edenesque surroundings, they became my target and destination. What was once a simple photo essay grew and grew until it became three books and a library of over 10,000 photographs and 100 videos.
