This is a true story by Jim who found out in 2006 after his Mum died that she and all of his relatives kept a big secret from him. He was born in 1944 in Stondon Massey, Essex and was brought up by his grandparents, aunts and uncles until he was about seven years old. He always wondered why he did not live with his Mum, Dad and two younger siblings. From what he had been told by an uncle just before his Mum's funeral he began a lengthy search supported by his wife Audrey and his family. Three and a half years later they all found out the truth which took Jim and Audrey on a long trip to Mariposa a small town in California. Jim has now moved on but wishes that he had been told the truth by his parents.
