Following on from 29 Angel: The Story of a Victorian Terrace in 1930s London, and the People Who Lived There, written by her father Stanley Gordon Tinsley, Barbara Tinsley recounts her adventures growing up in Angel Walk, Hammersmith, in the 1950s and 1960s. Barbara's memoirs, set against a backdrop of radical social change and the days of 'you've never had it so good', are, at various times, poignant, uplifting, moving and hilarious, and provide a valuable glimpse into a time of tremendous upheaval in our country's capital. Echoing her father's boyhood adventures, Barbara shows how he developed from a hardworking scholarship boy and young tearaway into a responsible husband and loving, sensitive, funny and adventurous father and companion.
