If you were a childless couple absolutely desperate for a family of your own and were offered a little blonde girl for £15,000 with no questions asked, what would you do? That's the dilemma facing Dci Luke Stevens, who already knows that once that little girl reaches puberty she will be snatched back for the sex trade, and there is absolutely nothing the couple can do, nobody they can turn to. This is 2012 and Stevens knows this awful trade in innocent children is about to start again in Skegness in the height of summer just when officers are being dragged away to help out at the Olympics.
