Contributor Bio:  Simpson, S Samuel Earl Simpson was born in 1943 in the town of Commerce in East Texas. He graduated from Baylor University, served in the Air Force, and received an MFA in creative writing from the University of Iowa. After a year employed in a junior high school, he taught English at a community college in Virginia until he retired. He and his wife reared three daughters and live in an old farmhouse with a pleasant view of the Rappahannock River.
