He has a Bachelor of Arts from Rocky Mountain College in Billings, Montana, a Master of Divinity from Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary in Austin, Texas, a Doctor of Ministry from Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, California, did post-graduate work at Concordia Seminary in Saint Louis, Missouri. He has also studied at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London, England, and the Leningrad Polytechnic Institute in Leningrad, USSR. He currently lives in the San Francisco Bay Area.
