These true stories, told by a former high school college counselor, show the many sides of students' choices of colleges. "Finding a Fit" goes to the heart of the matter: happiness in college arises from self-knowledge and good information. The examples in this book give parents, students and counselors fresh ways of looking at the decisions. Helen Britt was the first Director of College Counseling at The Branson School and following that, an independent college adviser and instructor in UC Berkeley's college adviser certification program. She is a magna cum laude graduate of Oberlin College, and holds a masters degree from Dominican University of California. She is the author of a mythology textbook, "Ye Gods," published by Pearson Press, as well as a two-volume edition of the Bible as Literature entitled "After Eden."
