Freedom, O Freedom! This book is written to encourage every person to stand in his or her own truth and to challenge domestication. It is more than what shoes, ties, shirt or pair of pants a person may select to wear on any even day. It is about freedom of choice. It is about not being judged by what you look like but what you have inside. The person you are through your actions and behaviors. One day we will be judged by the content of our character and not by our outside appearance. Are you standing in your truth? Freedom to Choose to be you. This is a look through the four panes of the Johari window and finding one's true self. The you that was created in the image and likeness of God. It's a journey of self-discovery and self-disclosure. Have you ever been asked a question that challenged your right to choose? I was asked by a complete stranger, "Why you wear men's clothes?" Then he was bold enough to tell me that my choice was wrong in a tone that I was to correct my self-choice per his instruction. What makes some people feel as though they can control others? Who defined proper gender attire? What gives society the right to set the standard for anyone's style of dress or any personal life choice? When you walk into your closet what do you see? Does your wardrobe reflect every aspect of who you are? How do you present yourself to the world and why? What is the real question? What do people really want to know about you? Why do they want to know it? Does it even matter? Why do you wear men's clothes? My answer remains the same - BECAUSE I CAN!
