It Happened on the Fourth of July is the third book in the Our Life in Snowflake Falls "It Happened" series. It had been the perfect summer and for Edwin and Julie Engle is was about to get even better. Their son, Major Jake Engle was coming home on leave and would be there for the Fourth of July. As a Green Beret, Jake was used to going on tough missions, and though he was home on leave, which should be a time of rest and relaxation, he felt as if he was on the toughest mission of his life.
