The transition from third world to first world can be challenging..."When God Speaks Through Nos" is a guide in never giving up. The story is about a brave young woman, who gave up everything, except her faith, to improve her lot in a "strange land." Sometimes the Nos. didn't add up but her unwavering belief in God and her determination to not give up, even when giving up would have been understandable, is a testament of what makes this story one that is worth reading. The story starts out in the writer's little homeland island of Jamaica, in the Caribbean, and takes readers on a journey to and through Canada, where the protagonist faced unkind and uncertain, but ultimately rewarding circumstances. On the journey the writer encountered numerous signs, usually in the form of numbers, and these were used to navigate her way to becoming a permanent resident.
