This book " INDUSTRIALIZATION" - CHALLENGES & PANACEA FOR AFRICA; A CASE STUDY OF NIGERIA attempts to look at typical African challenges in the eyes of Nigeria when it comes to industrialization. The book specifically targets Nigeria due to its position as a regional power, continental giant, global player, the most populous country in Africa and the second largest economy in the continent. The book gave an in dept highlight on Nigeria's past and current myriad of problems and challenges which truncated her growth and development and prevented her from industrializing. Despite huge resources from oil but unstable government, Corruption, none pragmatic developmental policy approach and infrastructural decay truncated her attempts in the past to industrialize into a modern economy which left her admiring her previous contemporaries of some decades ago. The author proposes a solution in the style of the "U. S Marshall plan" which rebuilt Europe at the end of second world war . The proposed solution must be pursued aggressively through scientific and technological approach, an option which at various period in the past were contemplated but abandoned by past Nigeria and African leaders.
