'Paris 1927' reflects on the influence of the surrealist movement on the arts in Paris between the wars. The central figures are three Americans: a composer, a writer, and an artist. Instead of being in the Parisian circle Hemingway, Fitzgerald, Stein, etc., they have joined a Russian brother and sister to focus on their surreal endeavors. It is a comedic tragedy that reflects the issues in life faced by those in 1927 Paris, which are pretty much the same issues in life we face today. The play is a distillation and fusion of many works created by French and American authors, such as Jean-Paul Sartre, André Gide, Philippe Soupault and Henry Miller, so it contains material and language suited for mature audiences only. This second edition is designed to more easily accompany the book for the Revival Musical version of 'Paris 1927.' More in formation can be found at paris1927.com. Life is but a dream, so come play ...
