The Bullmastiff is a large-sized breed of domestic dog. During the 19th century, the Bullmastiff was developed by gamekeepers and guards for the purpose of guarding large estates. The Bullmastiff was developed by interbreeding the English Mastiff and the Old English Bulldog. The Bullmastiff is solidly built and has the perfect mix of the Old English Bulldog's strength and speed and the English Mastiff's less aggressive temperament.
