Deep Strait
Michael Marnier
The bottom of the Florida Straits is nearly a mile deep. Watch out for danger below...
Charley Manner finds trouble in the Deep Strait when DEA Agent Vicky Borne returns from FAST team training at Quantico with a request. She's out for revenge for the rape and torture delivered by Mexican drug lord Jose Guizarro during her last op and wants Charley's help to track him down. Enroute to Guizarro's headquarters on Cozumel they stumble upon a secret transfer station forty miles south of Key West. What they find in the depths beneath a deep water oil platform is far more life-threatening than illegal drugs.
Hundreds of containers filled with radioactive material that are about to be set free from a holding pen, 3000 feet below the surface, and drift through the straits carried along by the powerful Gulf Stream current. The entire southeastern coast of the U. S. will be exposed, with potential to continue past the mid-Atlantic states up to valuable New England fishing grounds and the Grand Banks.
Half the world's most productive fishing grounds will be destroyed unless Charley and friends can stop the terrorists plan to detonate their cache in the Deep Strait.
