Lord Anthony Woodville, the new governor of the Isle of Wight, is eagerly planning improvements. But he has challenged a famous jouster to meet him with sharp weapons. Now he spends every available minute practicing for the great tournament. He must also travel to attend the spectacular weddings of his sister and his nephew. Unhelpfully, the king sends him off to the court of the Duke of Burgundy in Brussels. Like the Olympics, the coming event has many people scurrying. Besides the tournament, they prepare to host the grand bastard of Burgundy and hundreds of his court. This calls for nightly, knightly feasts. Then there's the rich clothing-for the horses. Finally, Lord Anthony cannot control mischance.
