One of the successes that I celebrate -in this collection of poems- is the description of the main character: El Bicho, El Comandante, "white steed - traveler of this world -" because the writer knows when to take us by the hand - while we read - to guide us toward the use of literary tools without the slightest hesitation to seem gilded by the constant use of adjectives. "The word / is inspired by the blow / after the art in movement / of the one who pursues it / next to you /" he writes in the Sixth Song and recognizes the innate supremacy of the Portuguese player: "You live in knowledge!". Each poem becomes a game where the sports field is the blank sheet and the movements of each word are sure to be on the rostrum of an excellent sports and literary encounter. Let this work be welcomed, by a writer who, although born in Veracruz, is from Quintana Roo by adoption, and whose voice has a marked difference with what has been written in these places thus far.*Daniel Cabrera Padilla
