Uri's tests show it is aligned with good, but no one knows its true nature-or how much harm its removal may cause.



She and Frax strike a bargain. The warriors-all of them-will help her find her way south against the force that is driving her. In exchange, she will learn to use Arylla's power to remove the barrier that prevents the Geffitz peoples' return to the south.



But the Eldren Swampdwellers, who possess powers so great they can even block Ly Kai star power, do not welcome Kaphri or her troublesome Geffitzi companions into the south. They know what the crystal is and they are willing to do anything to stop her from using it.
