Shark Trackers - Hard work, no pay, and embarrassing conditions could not deter a young Woods Hole artist from signing on as the ship's mechanic to his first oceanographic expedition out to the blue waters of the Atlantic Ocean. Our hero Calvin Landry finds himself seasick, over his head in science, and head over heels for a member of the scientific crew, biologist Dr. Jonelle Kelly, an alluring, able-bodied, accomplished shark tracker. Science turns to romance, adventure, and heroic rescue. Endless Sun-Filled Days is a fictional memoir of E. K. King's first shark tracking cruise with Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution scientist Dr. Frank Carey, who was a pioneer in acoustic fish tracking and considered a world's authority on the physiology, behavior, and ecology of the great migrating fishes of the sea-among them tuna, sharks, and swordfish. In 1979 Dr. Carey recorded the first internal body temperature measurements of the great white shark.
