This is the story of an African boy who is born in the Township but gets to live in both the Township and the Rural Homes of both his maternal and paternal grandparents. Tonto experiences these two worlds in a life-changing way that would eventually shape his adulthood, despite the violence and the poverty that afflicted his family. His family finally got a decent life and the boy went to school and grew to become a hardworking, humble and self-reliant man.
