My newly found friends are so awesome. They live in my neighborhood. They make me rock and I tend to have a lot of fun with them, but my parents tell me they are bad company. My parents, I guess are too strict and certainly overprotective'; this is the shared thought from a teenage boy. During the teenage years, parents and careers indeed do tend to be a bit overprotective and sometimes do warn the younger generation about the choices they make, the kind of friends they have and where they go. In some cases the youth appropriate these concerns of their parents and careers as one arising from generational gap. Children and particularly adolescents easily let go their good dreams just to please a friend of a gang, who in no way will otherwise contribute to their manifestation. The kind of friends or social others we have define us, make or break us. This book targets school-aged children within the age range of 8-18 years in the category of pre, early and late teenage years and offers support to the personal, social & emotional development challenges presented to them in and out of their school environment, by peers, bad company and social othersThis book uses Jeremy's Personal Social & Emotional Developmental (PSED) shared experience as a case study, as matched with a laboratory tomato experiment; to challenge children particularly teenagers to break away from bad companies through the appropriate media that yields positive long lasting results. To crown it all, this book can be used as a learning resource by parents, carers, teachers, schools, and children/teenage related institutions.
