Ezekiel was a poor black sharecropper living in America in the 1940s, but not the 1940s America that we know, but an alternate world where the Nazis eventually succeed in conquering Europe and then move on to start an invasion of America. Ezekiel was always a lifelong pacifist in the tradition of Mahatma Gandhi, his hero, but as the Nazis begin invading the United States Ezekiel discovers that he has a mysterious psychic power, a really destructive psychic power that would help him to fight against the Nazis. But will Ezekiel be able to maintain his pacifist stance in the face of imminent Nazi oppression and ethnic cleansing, or will he use his power to fight back?
