Solomon's search for the Artist is not going well. He survived the perilous journey to the kingdom of Bitterbridge, but the Dark Cloud's influence has corrupted the city. Instead of locating the one person with the power to help him save his hometown, Solomon finds himself narrowly escaping the clutches of thieves, slave-traders, kidnappers, and murderers. But soon Solomon meets an unexpected friend. A powerful friend who provides him with some protection from the dangers of the city. A friend who claims he can help Solomon locate his long-lost father. Solomon has to save Coville, but time is running short. The young boy must decide whether he is to solve the mystery of his estranged father or rescue his hometown from its impending destruction. Even small kids can be faced with big decisions.
