Mei Ling's father was a descendant of the Jewish families that immigrated to China through Persia following the Roman Emperor Titus's capture of Jerusalem in 70 AD. Mei Ling's father wanted Mei Ling to see Israel as the tide seemed to change. It would help Mei Ling understand the world better and her history. Now, she has become a strong female heroine faces persecution narrowly escaping the grips of a challenging demise. She introduces the world to heroic battles held as she herself helps others evade persecution. As time goes by, she decides to leave once she can no longer fight as she passes the torch on to an unsuspecting protege.
