Sanity: Lost & Found is a memoir that reads like a novel. Using the story of the author's life as the backdrop, she offers a better understanding of how our childhood experiences impact us, how we become shame-based and what can happen when we do and how resiliency, compassion and forgiveness are what it takes to heal from the vicissitudes we all face in life.



Raised on a southern California ranch, a lost child amidst the angst of her parents, she joins the Peace Corps In the turbulent 70's and immersed herself in the culture of the South American country she was serving. Embracing their mysticism, she unexpectedly witnessed the presence of two rays of light that brought a flooding of information into her mind. Told that "life on planet earth will not continue to be the same if humans do not change the way they are living" the author was then asked to return to the United States and share this message. Thinking her "mission" was to spread this message and save the world, after trial and error, she fell prey to a man who uniquely validated her and agreed to help her spread the message.



The author spent the next decade and more as an abused woman, controlled by his illness and her own disassociation from reality, leaving and returning to him in a textbook-case manner. How she found the strength to extricate herself, to heal, and ultimately help others is both frightening and inspirational. Tarra has now returned to southern California where she assists others to find peace, harmony, and fulfillment in their lives.
