Genie Rollins grew up in Gary, IN. Raised by a mentally ill mother, Genie struggled to survive the concrete jungle of the housing projects in which she lives. The "cell" that her mother had created, sought to steal her sanity. She struggled through her childhood, overcoming sexual abuse and her mother's erratic episodes to become a successful counselor striving to help others who have been held captive by life changing challenges.
