Two girls and three boys who were neighbourhood friends stayed after school one evening for a football practice and headed home after it. It started to rain, so they took a shortcut through a farmer's field and discovered an open door of a spaceship. They entered it and hid inside when the owners arrived. While the police searched in vain for the missing teens, they were already millions of kilometres out in space to begin their many harrowing and dangerous adventures visiting several other planets risking their lives and friendships until they arrived on the aliens' strange world.
