In trying to provide for his mom, 23-year-old Solomon decides to quit college to pursue a lucrative job in Manhattan, his mother is furious. Undaunted, Solomon follows through on his plans, not only for himself, but also to support his beloved mother. His job involves fencing the stolen contents of trucking containers, which makes him rich?but when he delves into auto theft, he?s ultimately caught and put in jail. After his release, Solomon endures a short-lived marriage and eventually finds legitimate employment as a taxi driver.
