Timeline is a medley of sixty-four poems, presenting crucial events in our country's history.

A timeline is defined as a linear graph depicting events in the order they occur, giving the observer a frame of reference. From delineating the ages of the earth, to mapping the history of any given event, a timeline reveals and truncates the much longer story.

Mysterious beginnings, man's creation of god and religion, the impact of 1619, the genocide of Native Americans, the Civil War, Industrial Revolution, coal mining, immigrant masses coming to America at the turn of the twentieth century, the Holocaust, World War II, A-Bomb, post atomic era, television, civil rights, sci-fi, sports, music of the times, crime, organized labor, and guns. The horror of addiction, the unspeakable tragedy of 9/11, Katrina, fatally flawed Middle East policies resulting in millions of Arab deaths. Ending with a plea for acceptance and forgiveness, guided by the spiritual power of knowledge, poetry, blues, science, and jazz. There are ten "line of work" poems, a collection within the collection if you will, focusing on jobs immigrants were able to get upon arriving here. I draw from family experience in several instances
