The Woodstock Paradox
Mr. Edward a Devito
While running from a juvenile court-ordered group home in Portland, Oregon in 1990, seventeen year-old Arien Danner is catapulted to another time as the result of a freak electrical accident. And so begins a tale of life in the Haight-Ashbury, a pivotal experience of the People?s Park Riots in Berkeley, and the adventures of a cross-country road trip. The tale concludes at Bethel, NY, the site of the legendary Woodstock Festival in 1969, and with an epilogue set in December, 2012. Within an exploration of the period are elements of coming-of-age, finding love, communal life, and a mystery quest into New Age and Native American magic and spirituality. Though THE WOODSTOCK PARADOX is fiction, with a touch of fantasy, it is very well researched and contains many historically accurate details.
