A cookbook of prized family recipes with origins in many different countries, from Norway and Czechoslovakia to Austria and France. And because they are family recipes, they are made with easily procured ingredients and use utensils (and skills) virtually everyone has in their kitchen. As the author explains: "I have a cookbook library filled with books, each of which has one or two recipes I have used.
