Jess Turner, a sign language interpreter, always wanted to open her own sign language interpreting agency. With the help of the Deaf community, fellow interpreters and her family, her dream became a reality. After experiencing a vicious attack, Jess is thrust into the middle of a crime while working at Sebastian Middle School.

Lt. Tory Trent has the uncanny ability to solve difficult cases. His tenacity drives him to find clues that others overlook. His current case involves Jess Turner, a woman who was brutally assaulted. As he unravels the mysteries of her attack, he begins to try to piece together the puzzle of her life.

Together, Tory Trent and Jess Turner embark on the task of finding the murderer at Sebastian Middle School.
