Mouth of God, Light of Infinity features seven stories that explore themes of death, mortality and isolation. Opening story "Reel" examines a town's attempt to deal with the dishonesty that has plagued their society. "Mein" is an unsettling look into a person's infatuation and relationship with one of their coworkers. "Drive" is a conversation between two friends about people's reactions to the loss of a family member. "The Subject was Faggots" follows a high school student's battle with bullying and homophobia while trying to play for the basketball team. "Derelict" is a brief, but intriguing, story about what the night can do to our moods and attitudes. "Gaza Gazali" takes place during the Palestinian-Israeli conflict of late 2008/early 2009. Final piece "The Adventures of Outlaw Gus and Avocado Duren" is about a third grade boy trying to come to terms with his best friend's illness.
