For the past several years, a shadow of evil has been cast over the northern kingdom of Belghan. The memories of its citizens are being controlled, while many of its children have been enslaved by the wicked Ice Queen. None can escape the prevalent suffering that Her Majesty has forced upon them. Frigid temperatures, lost memories, and hunger pains are just a few of the challenges John must endure during his imprisonment at the Ice Palace. Known by the other young captives as The Dreamer, the asocial lad is a slave to the Ice Queen by day and to frightening nightmares of the Fire King by night, a curse none of the others were afforded. Following a fateful encounter with a mysterious rodent named Midwa, John?s dreams begin to blend with reality and transform his bleak world into a fantastical one filled with adventure. Eventually, he must form a fellowship with other captives with nicknames such as Poison Ivy, Two-tone Tony, Pippy the Piper, and Freddie Fixer. After a successful escape attempt from the Ice Palace, their epic journey will truly begin. In a vivid world full of unique and magical creatures, they will traverse several landscapes, including a lush jungle teeming with wildlife, a desert riddled with unrelenting sandstorms, a raging sea that will push them to their survival limits, and the forsaken fortress of Villanis where they must flee from ghostly soldiers and confront the evil Fire King. Along the way, they will encounter phoenix dragons, colossal sand demons, terrifying monsters, and unimaginable magic. The fellowship must employ their collective effort in order to overcome many challenges as they struggle to uncover their pasts. The limits of friendship, family, and loyalty will be tested as they attempt to restore the kingdom to peace.
