He poses as a spiritual teacher, gathering a group of disciples and miraculously fulfilling their wishes that have seemed so out of reach. He assures them that this is entirely benign, and that they're only tapping into a mysterious power that's rightfully theirs to use.But he's actually doing it by means of black magic, and little by little, he lures them into escalating evil, harm to innocent victims, and finally, murder. By the time they realize the truth and try to back out, it's too late--they have sold their souls, and they only have two choices: to continue on as servants of Courdeval and his demonic masters, using their power to spread evil in ever-increasing ways--or gruesome, terrifying death.
