I began expressing my opinion in the campus newspaper at Lamar University-Beaumont in 1994. In 1995, I wanted a change in lifestyle and a little adventure so I enlisted in the US Armed Forces. As a service member I did some traveling across the United States finding that ?little adventure? I was looking for. I saw a lot of places and met a lot of people. Just for fun I wrote a few songs about my lifestyle and recorded them for my comrads to listen to when we would have those ?private? parties. In the year 2000, I created Exact Thoughts Poetry Group (E. T. P. G.) while attending TSTC-Waco and began publishing my works through group meetings on the campus, which led to features in the Waco Tribune Herald and the campus? Tech Times. I was asked to read some of my works for various functions at TSTC by faculty and staff members including one reading that was televised on a local TV channel in Waco, TX. I graduated and returned to the Gulf Coast where I created South East Texas Literary Entertainment (S. E. T. L. E.) and for the next decade continued to write what I called ?Tale-Featherz?
