The Kama Sutra is often thought of as the age old sex position manual. That is a common misconception. Only about 20% of the book concerns sex positions. In reality, The Kama Sutra is a comprehensive way of looking at sexuality. It is about getting to a place where you can maintain a good loving relationship, and where sex is about pleasing each other and knowing how to make each other feel good. As an editor I have tried to find and present to you what I think is an unmodified original translation. I have tried to keep the text as original as I can - including spelling and punctuation. And although the original translation was not illustrated, I have researched and included 18th and19th century Indian sex position illustrations to keep a certain amount of consistency with the writings.
