Death stalks Palmetto Bay!

Welcome to the tranquil seaside town of Palmetto Bay. The violent storm that forced Margo Fontaine--Private Investigator--to seek shelter in its only hotel has abated. The sun's out again, and the birds are chirping, and Margo is ready to hit the road again. But all's not well in Palmetto Bay. An enormous live oak tree has fallen on the road, cutting off the only way out of town, and Margo is trapped.

Meantime, the gruesome remnants of an ancient shipwreck have been coughed up by the angry sea, throwing the locals into a treasure-hunting frenzy. Close to the rotting ship, a young woman dressed in a soaking wet Edwardian nightgown lies in a dead faint on the sand, algae entangled in her long wavy hair, and bleeding scrapes on the bottom of her feet. One of the locals swears she came walking out of the sea.

Soon the inhabitants begin dying one after the other, and Margo decides to take matters into her own hands, because somebody has to. With the unexpected help of Pepper Paws, a local feline, she sets out to discover whodunit, or else she fears she too will soon be dead.

Follow Margo Fontaine and her cats in her Murder Mystery Series in the land of swamps, alligators, haunted hotels and plantation homes, where well-kept secrets and the stories of old Southern families will conspire to keep you reading into the night.
