Thomas Decoster is a retired Professor of Experimental Psychology at the University of Ghent in Belgium. He and Nathalie have no children, but a long and loving marriage nevertheless.
As Thomas reflects through a series of vignettes upon his gone by personal and professional life, his memories are not always pleasant. The future has grown short when his past becomes present, plunging his marriage into deep jeopardy.
Yet, while no one is to blame, everyone finds a way to embark upon a future that is fuller than anyone thought possible.
