Not wanting to fight against his friends, family, and former teachers, Prince Arjuna asks Krishna for advice. Krishna's counsel to Arjuna about the pathways to wisdom, self-discipline, and self-sacrifice has inspired and influenced millions from Mahatma Gandhi to Henry David Thoreau and T. S. Eliot. The book lists Hindu theological and philosophical terms to aid the reader, as well as giving clarifications throughout the text. The author has done a wonderful job of making the Bhagavad Gita accessible to the general reader.
