Between the ages of fifteen and twenty-one, I possessed the heart of a poet. I wrote poems. About life. About war. About love. About growing up. In the midst of raging hormones and a lust for living, poetry became my way of sorting it all out. This was my age of innocence. Perhaps these poems will find their way into other innocent hearts. Or perhaps they will be an inspiration to others who have poetry in their soul but hadn't written it down. Yet. An excellent book to learn about poetry and gain courage to write one's own.
