Ever wondered how much you could see of a place in just one day? Iain Moss decides to find out. Tired of travelling around the world on business but seeing nothing of it, he finally rebels against the routine of airport-hotel-office-airport and sets out to build a single day at leisure into every trip. At the same time, he and his family begin a series of foreign assignments taking them around the world. The experience of adapting to these changes as the family grows up forms a linking thread through a series of travel stories detailing how he uses his available 24 hours to explore some of the world's major cities and tourist attractions. Along the way it becomes more than just sightseeing but also a subtle journey of discovery for the author as he experiences new cultures and learns the pitfalls and pleasures of trying to see the world one day at a time.
