'When society tells you you're a product of your environment, it's easy to be the victim.'



From a young age, Malik had already decided his fate as he grew up on his estate. Surrounded by violent gangs and drug addicts, he soon makes a name for himself as a hard fighter.



But one cold night he unwittingly robs a journalist and gets more than he could have imagined, when his sadistic enemy, 'Ninja' gets sent to prison for the crime.



As he attempts to avoid retaliation, he crosses paths with some unlikely characters, including an East End gangster, a rich girl and a church pastor.



These encounters challenge his whole world and have him struggling between the truth and his reputation. He begins to read a book given to him by his mentor, but as his eyes begin to open, Ninja is let out early and he wants revenge.
