Giorgio Buccellati
Terqa is the name of an ancient city discovered at the site of Tell Ashara on the banks of the middle Euphrates in Deir ez-Zor Governorate, Syria. The single epigraphic find of the second season of excavation is described here: it is a small administrative document of the same type as those from Mari dated to the period of the akkanakku's.
