If only Terry Logan, the highly esteemed reporter for the Witness, had heeded the wise words of his mentor; then friends, lovers, acquaintances and strangers would have been contented with or resigned to their lot, oblivious to the alternatives. So, who were the unwitting characters in the crossfire, when that single impetuous act set life's dominoes a-tumbling? It all depends upon their perspective, I guess, whether they emerged from the mayhem as winners or losers, happy or unhappy; dead or alive!
