Life is full of surprises, so we have to be ready for everything it throws us. The Girl Behind The Smile is a true story that accounts the things that affected me growing up and how they managed to change my views on life. I came from a church home where I learned about the importance of trusting in God and the value of family. Like many others, my faith was tested when I was faced with some difficult obstacles. I somehow managed to keep everything a secret and turned away from God. I lost sight of who I was for a while. However, after going through those circumstances, I was able to reconnect myself with God and I learned how to forgive the people who hurt me and through the mist of it all, I even forgave myself.
