Like the mythical tooth fairy, Patch the Paci Pirate comes at night to take the children's pacifiers and gives them to new babies who need them. Patch leaves behind a special toy. The story opens up with Paci Island in trouble because the head pirate, Spike, has taken over and no one has been able to come take the pacifiers. Even Spike still has his and the kids have grown old with their pacifiers. They have no pacifiers to give to the babies that need them. Palina The Paci Fairy, Patch's cousin, comes to his rescue and helps him start collecting all of the Pacis on the island. She teaches Patch her special tricks and spreads her fairy dust and magic starts to happen. Patch grows into Patch The Paci Pirate and collects the Pacis so all of the babies can be saved.
