The Battle For Life
Lucas Ryan
Lucas Ryan is a twelve year old freelance writer from Miami, Florida. At eight years old, Lucas was diagnosed with T-Cell Lymphoma. He started writing his book "The Battle for Life" shortly after receiving the news. In "The Battle for Life" the characters and their fight with the Dragon are metaphoric of Lucas's fight for his life with the disease. The spectacular and vivid journeys in the book are a colorful rendition of the character Elidoc and his triumph over fear. Lucas's intention is to inspire the lives of anyone associated with their own personal battle to win. Proceeds from this book are directly given to families struggling from costs associated with childhood cancer. Currently, Lucas is in 6th grade, and taking College Writing Courses from Duke University. To get more information, or to be involved with Lucas Ryan Foundation, please go to: WWW.
