If you're looking for a happy ending, you've picked up the wrong book. Just go ahead and put it back on the shelf where you found it, and let's hope that no one else noticed you skimming through this disturbing novel. I'm sure you're probably searching for a book with a happy ending and a little romance, but it truly does break my heart to inform you that there's none of that crap in this book. (Most people I've talked to couldn't even get past the entire first page). In fact, the story of Jasmine Hall is not for the light-hearted at all! Ms. Hall is a Chicago native who moved-or fled-to Tooley at age seventeen to run away from her past and make a new name for herself. Instead she ends up earning several additional and unwanted names in the process, such as "homewrecker", "murderer", "stripper", "gang affiliate", "stalker", and "groupie hoe". Before you go twisting up your face in judgement... understand that Jasmine had to go through a lot of turmoil early on in her life, and that might be why she reacts to incidents in ways the outside world might not understand or agree with. Yes, she's done a lot of bad things in her lifetime-but maybe, just maybe all of those things can be justified after reading her side of the story? Whether you're for Ms. Hall's demise or against it, understand that she is a cut-throat individual that could care less about your opinion, and she would never allow herself to settle with being the victim regardless of circumstance. This is the unsettling and unapologetic story of REVENGE... Jasmine's Revenge! (Just remember you were warned). -Tangie
